RoHS - Identification

For clear and easy identification, we have marked our articles as RoHS compliant on our homepage, on article packaging and on delivery notes.

Labelling on the goods:
RoHS compliant goods are identified by a clear "RoHS" marking at the bottom of the article label.

Some manufacturers have retrospectively declared their goods RoHS compliant (e.g. with date code information). In this case you will only find information about RoHS compliant articles on the delivery note as subsequent labelling of these articles will not take place.

On the Delivery Note :
If an article delivered to you is RoHS compliant it will be marked as "RoHS" on the delivery note.

On our Website:
If a complete available article is RoHS compliant, you will find a green tick symbol in the "RoHS" column of the price block.

Note:
All markings and declarations for RoHS are based on our present knowledge, conditions and statements from our manufacturers. Since we do not have influence over the conditions of use or applications for the above mentioned products, Schukat makes no representation or warrant as to the accuracy of such information contained in this document.

Please take into consideration the following details regarding our identification:
The RoHS Directive will be converted with the help of "the law about placement on the market, the return and environmentally-friendly disposal of electrical and electronic devices" (short form: Electrical and Electronics Law - ElektroG). With the ElektroG limit values regarding homogeneous substances are specified within the RoHS identification:

Draft of Bill ElektroG § 5 section 1:
• Lead (Pb) 0.1 weight percent
• Mercury (Hg) 0.1 weight percent
• Cadmium (Cd) 0.01 weight percent
• Hexavalent Chromium CR (VI) 0.1 weight percent
• Polybrominated Biphenyls PBB 0.1 weight percent
• Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers PBDE 0.1 weight percent (incl. DecaBDE)

Information about "lead-free processing"
Many electronic companies have changed their production over to RoHS compliant products and soldering procedures in accordance with the EU RoHS Directive 2002/95/EG and the resulting electronic law (ElektroG).

We would like to point out that the use of components changed to RoHS compliant materials by the manufacturer is always decided by the manufacturing company. A guarantee of quality can be made exclusively by the manufacturer. The same rule applies for soldering and reverse compatibility of the soldering process with RoHS compliant components.

As your distributor we will support you in the procurement of information that is relevant for you.
