The newly added power supplies in Self Electronics' SLT250-VFG-EU series extend the output voltage range of Self's ultra-slim LED power supplies from 6 to 250W. The protection-class-II, constant-voltage power supplies have been specially developed for modern LED lighting applications in indoor areas in accordance with IP20. They feature an extremely compact low-profile design – just 22mm high – allowing easy installation in confined spaces, and are available in 24V and 48V versions with a high efficiency of up to 94%. The units are suitable for operation on 230VAC mains power and also meet current Ecodesign requirements and the relevant EMC standards thanks to a standby power consumption of less than 0.5W and a start-up time below 500ms. The series is certified in accordance with EN61347-1 and EN61347-2-13 and will soon receive ENEC certification as well. It is also possible to install the units on materials with unknown flammability characteristics (MM marking) or to use them as independent control gear outside lamps. Even in unfavourable operating conditions they have a long operational life of up to 50,000 hours, based on an enclosure temperature of 90°C. Output is SELV-compliant, and they offer protection against interrupt, short circuit, overload and overheating. The units restart automatically after a fault condition has been removed. The power supplies in Self Electronics' SLT250-VFG-EU series are now available from Schukat with a 5 year warranty.
