With the supercapacitors of the FY, FT, FG and FS series from KEMET, we offer electrical double-layer capacitors (EDLCs) in pin design in the program. Thanks to their special characteristics, which differ from conventional capacitors and batteries, they are used in applications requiring high energy storage. In a DC circuit, they can be used like a secondary battery and are ideal for use in low-voltage DC holdup applications, such as embedded microprocessor systems with flash memory.
KEMET supercapacitors are designed for a wide temperature range of -25 to +70°C or -40 to +85°C (FT series) and for a maximum operating voltage of 5.5VDC or 3.5VDC (FG series). Its tolerance range is between -20 and +80%. Capacitances from 0.01 to 4.7F (FG), 0.022 to 1.0F (FS), 0.022 to 2.2F (FY) and 0.1 to 5.6F (FT) are available, depending on the series. All capacitors are maintenance-free, highly reliable against liquid leakage, and lead-free and RoHS compliant.
