Designed primarily for such demanding electrical applications as EV chargers and for industrial, audiovisual and ITE environments, the new, compact 10W AC/DC modules in RECOM’s RAC10E-K/277 series are among the latest additions to the Schukat product range. Despite their small 1.8'' x 1'' (45.7 x 25.4mm) footprint, the encapsulated, PCB-mount AC/DC modules in the economy series deliver high efficiency, achieving up to 84 percent depending on the model. They offer a broad input voltage range from 100 to 277VAC (120 to 430VDC) and a generous operating temperature range from -40 to +90°C, and are available with fully protected individual outputs from 3.3 to 24V. Overvoltage category corresponds to OVC III up to 2000m and OVC II up to 5000m. The RECOM AC/DC modules RAC10E-K/277 also comply with Class B EMC limits without external components, meet the safety certifications of IEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1 and are ErP compliant, with no-load losses of less than 100mW. Their high power density allows full-load operation from 115 to 277VAC at ambient temperatures of up to 65°C. Safety features include full protection against output short-circuit, overvoltage and overcurrent, as well as a reinforced insulation rating of 4kVAC/1 minute. Insulation capacitance and leakage current are also particularly low, a maximum of 100pF and 50µA respectively.
