Among Schukat’s newest additions are the MEAN WELL NSP-1600 (1600 Watt) and NSP-3200 (3200 Watt) series, each with a 1HU profile and high power density up to 25W/inch3 (NSP-1600) and 37W/inch3 (NSP-3200). These dependable, high-performance power supplies have been specially designed for applications in industry, semi-conductor manufacture, automation technology, data centres, and 5G telecommunications, offering efficiency as high as 92% (NSP-1600) and 94.5% (NSP-3200).
The short development time for the NSP-1600/3200 series was achieved by building their inputs/outputs and safety characteristics based on the proven RSP and DPU series. Design also took into consideration the implementation of an intelligent fan speed control for noise reduction and the extension of the DC input range up to 400VDC.
Various built-in functions assure design flexibility, including output voltage programming, remote on-off control, and auxiliary power supply. Both series offer outputs with the most in-demand voltages for industrial use (for the NSP-1600: 12 VDC, 24 VDC, 36 VDC, or 48 VDC, and for the NSP-3200: 12 VDC, or 24 VDC), easily adjusted with an internal potentiometer, and a wide input voltage range of 90 VAC ~ 264 VAC. The NSP-3200 series can be readily used in high-humidity environments; an optional "Conformal Coating" (protective lacquer) is available for these versions.
The power supplies are equipped with protections against overload, short circuit, overvoltage, and overtemperature. They are certified compliant with EN 62368-1, have UL/CUL/TÜV approval, and come with a three-year manufacturer’s warranty.
