Now available at Schukat are the upgraded popular RECOM series RKE, RFMM, RSO, RY, RSE, RS3. RECOM’s latest advances are the result of circuit innovations and state-of-the-art automated manufacturing that reduces manual assembly while achieving major performance improvements. Synchronous rectification has resulted in improved efficiency. The new planar transformers allow automatic placement on the PCB and flexible automation keeps costs down – some new products even have reduced prices at high volumes.
The new RKK series upgrades the existing RKE/RFMM isolated 1-W SIP-7-DC/DC converter modules. Efficiency is now higher even at low load, EMI is lower, operation at 105°C is possible without derating – all with a longer service life. Environmental performance has been improved by eliminating potting, thus reducing costs and almost halving weight to just 1.7g. The RYK version is also available with a fully regulated output with the same performance improvements, while the RSO series with regulated 4:1 input has been upgraded to the RSOK series. Specifications include a higher operating temperature of 88°C without derating, an upgrade from 2kV ‘functional’ to 3kV/1min officially approved ‘basic’ isolation, half the isolation capacitance at 50pF, and no minimum load requirements.
The RSK-RUW series is a further development of the RSE series. It offers an input voltage range of 8:1 compared to 4:1 for the RSE series, isolation of 3kVDC/1 minute versus 2kVDC/1 second, 88.5% versus 79% efficiency, lower isolation capacitance at 50pF, and operation up to 85°C without derating, 10°C higher than for the RSE series.
The 3W SIP8 RS3K-Z series upgrades the RS3E series, the K series offers a 4:1 input range and 3kV basic isolation, while the E series has a 2:1 input range and 3kV functional isolation. Moreover, the RS3K-Z series demonstrates a wider operating temperature range without derating of up to +80°C, greater efficiency, and lower insulation capacitance. |
