Among new additions to the Schukat product range are the intelligent DIN rail power supplies in MEAN WELL’s DRS-240 and DRS-480 series, with charging and UPS functionality – an ideal switching cabinet solution. These power supplies are designed for use in security and fire protection systems, emergency lighting, alarm systems, and central monitoring and access control systems.
They feature a universal input voltage range of 90 to 305VAC with PFC function, high efficiency up to 93.5%, and an operating temperature range of -30°C to +70°C, ensuring reliable operation.
A notable feature of the units is their multifunctional integration, bringing together an AC/DC power supply, battery charger, DC-UPS, and communications monitoring, all in a compact package (DRS-240: 85.5 x 125.2 x 129.2mm, DRS-480: 110 x 125.2 x 150mm). The supplies also have a MODBus communication interface, and charging parameters can be adjusted with an SBP-001 programmer. The 2-stage/3-stage charging curve and the charge current setting (20% ~ 100%) are manually adjustable on the front panel. The flexibility of the charging parameters allows the DRS-240/480 power supplies to be used with many lead-acid and lithium batteries. The DRS 240/480 series has been tested according to EN62368-1 and UL62368-1 and meets the specifications for use in fire alarm systems in accordance with EN 54-4, UL 2524, and GB 17945. The units are protected against output short-circuit, overload, overcurrent, overtemperature (automatic power reduction), battery shutdown, and reverse polarity.
