Schurter's ASO series solar fuses, compliant with the IEC 60269-6 and UL 2579 standards, are designed to protect photovoltaic systems. The voltages in such systems are boosted to keep the power dissipation in long circuit paths to a minimum. The fuses ensure safe interrupt even at demanding voltage levels, whereas standard fuses are not intended for complete protection of photovoltaic systems. At Schukat, we supply the ASO series in the standard and PCB version with 8 different rated currents from 1 to 30A for eight different nominal current ratings, from 1 to 30A, in a 10.3x38mm fuse. The fuses offer high breaking capacity of 20kA at rated voltage of 1000VDC and have a low minimum interrupting rating of 1.35 x IN. In addition to protecting photovoltaic modules and circuits, the fuses also have a variety of other uses, for example in inverters and battery charge controllers and as in-line or string fuses.
