Sensor Enclosures from Hammond: ABS Small Housing Series 1551SNAP With and Without Ventilation Slots

The ABS housings of the 1551SNAP series from Hammond with simple snap-on closure and wall mounting are suitable for IoT or general applications. There is a choice of four square or rectangular and three round enclosure types with or without ventilation. Vented versions protect electronics from contact with hands or tools, but allow air and moisture to enter for applications that need to be exposed to the environment, such as sensors.
The enclosures of the 1551SNAP series from Hammond are equipped with a snap closure that allows repeated opening and closing without tools. This maximises the internal space for PCBs, as no screw fixings are required to attach the lid to the base. The internal space available for PCB mounting is 74 x 74, 54 x 54, 34 x 34 and 74 x 34 mm for the square and rectangular types respectively, and 39, 54 and 73.50 mm for the round types.
The enclosures are made of black, grey and white ABS (UL94-HB). The bases have 4 mm high PCB stand-offs, slots for wall mounting and a 15 mm cable knock-out. All enclosures have a height of 20 mm, which provides sufficient space for board-mounted RJ45, USB and other standard communication interfaces.
