With the Hammond Electronics series 1552, we have expanded our portfolio of ergonomically formed ABS enclosures. These cases are particularly suitable for long-term use in machine control or electric hoist control applications because they are designed for hand-held comfort. There are currently six different case sizes available in grey or black with a satin finish. The ABS enclosures are flame retardant in accordance with UL94V-0, offer IP54 protection, and consist of a top and bottom section with removable front and rear panels, allowing for easy modification. An optional end plate with integrated rubberised cable protection and a strain relief tie-down is available for use with loose cables. The HA1552_PGKIT_ cable connection kit, designed for cable diameters from 2 to 6mm, replaces the back plate and securely connects a power supply cable to the enclosure. The top section has a recess for a membrane keyboard or a display and is connected to the bottom section by four colour-coded self-tapping screws. Additional snap locks in the centre of the larger models prevent bending. Circuit board spacers are incorporated into the lower part of the housing. When not in use, the handheld enclosures can be stored easily using a wall bracket and can also be used as a desktop housing. The enclosures of the 1552 series from Hammond are now in stock at Schukat in the following dimensions: width = 50mm, height = 22 or 30mm, and length = 70, 110 or 150mm. Schukat also offers matching ABS wall brackets, cable connection kits and replacement panels.
