Type 1
• Contains ceramic discs NPO, SL
• Linear defined specified temperature coefficient with reversable temperature dependence
• Non-voltage dependent
• Only small losses at high frequencies
• High insulation resistance
• Close up tolerance due to large electrical and time constant capacitance
Type 2
• Contains ceramic discs Y5P, Y5U, Z5V, Z5U, Y5V
• Non-linear capacitance dependent on temperature and voltage
• High insulation resistance, small losses
• Relatively large capacitance in small diameters
• Non-linear capacitance dependent on temperature
• High tolerances in relation to Type 1
Type 3
• Contains ceramic disc Y5P
• Fitting for applications where low dielectric loss, high insulation resistance and capacitance tolerance are not required
• Suitable as bypass capacitor
• Quality Q and capacitance stability lower than Type 2
• Non-linear capacitance dependent on temperature
• High tolerances in relation to Type 1
