iMaXX is a well-known European fuse manufacturer specialising in the development, marketing and sales of automotive electrical and electromechanical products, with emphasis on circuit protection (CP) components.
On 1 June 2012, Schukat and iMaXX concluded a distribution agreement. The aim of the agreement is to be able to offer blade and strip fuses with current ratings up to 500A as well as a wide range of innovative fuse holders throughout Germany and Europe. Customers can obtain all of iMaXX's standard automotive fuses and fuse holders direct from stock at Schukat.
Founded in Alblasserdam in the Netherlands in 1999, iMaXX operates production facilities for fuses and fuse holders in Slovenia, while individual special holders are produced in Turkey and Italy.
In Europe, iMaXX supplies customers in the commercial and construction vehicle sectors, in agricultural machines and accessories, and in the boating industry. Additional clients come from the mechanical engineering, multimedia and industrial electronics fields.
Developing high-quality fuses for professional applications at a value-for-money price has always been central to iMaXX's approach. As part of the NA052 road vehicle engineering standards committee, iMaXX plays an active role in establishing national and international standards for automotive fuses and fuse holders.
Moreover, iMaXX is the European cooperation partner for Japan's Pacific Engineering Corporation (PEC), global market leader in the field of automotive circuit protection. Both iMaXX's involvement in the engineering standards committee and the partnership with PEC guarantee that current trends and changes in the field of vehicle circuit protection are recognised and implemented at an early stage.
Manufacturing facilities are certified to international standards like ISO9000, QS9000 and VDA.
The agreement between Schukat and iMaXX significantly improves the availability of iMaXX products across Europe.
