P = Expressed in W
DT = Difference between maximum working temperature (155°C) and room temperature
RTH(j-c) = Thermal resistance of the component
RTH(c-a) = Thermal resistance of the heatsink and quality of fastening device

Example:
Ambient Temperature 30°C, Power Rating: 13W
1) P = DT / [RTH(j-c) + RTH (c-a)]
2) DT = 155°C - 30°C = 125 K
3) [RTH(j-c) + RTH (c-a)] = DT / P = 125K / 13W = 9,6K/W4) RTH (c-a) = 9,6K/W - 2,6K/W = 7K/W
