Schukat electronic Earns Federal Employment Agency Award for Promoting Young Talent

Edith Schukat (Schukat electronic, l.) Wolfgang Mai (AA Mettmann, r.)

As one of only two companies in the Mettmann district, Schukat electronic has received the Young Talent Promotion Certificate 2013 from the Federal Employment Agency for exemplary training and collaboration.
The Mettmann Employment Agency awards this certificate annually to companies that offer vocational training in the Mettmann district. The certificate recognizes the special dedication to promoting young talent of companies that show outstanding commitment to training, demonstrate social responsibility, and work in an exemplary way with the employer services of the Employment Agency.
Schukat electronic currently has around 145 employees and 35 trainees in the wholesale merchant, office management, IT and warehouse logistics fields. Of the 70 management and technical staff currently employed in the commercial and administrative areas, 45 completed their training in the company. Some of these staff, after additional training undertaken alongside their work, are now technical or department managers.

The award underscores the fact that Schukat electronic - through practically oriented and technically sound training – is succeeding in providing its trainees with a perfect start in professional life.

This is also demonstrated by the ongoing outstanding results being achieved by the trainees in the Chamber of Commerce final exams: the trainees garner above-average results every year, some even achieving the top grade of “very good.”
For Edith Schukat, authorised officer of the family firm, trainees represent an investment in the future: “They are one of the reasons for our success,” the businesswoman emphasizes. “It is not without reason that we employ trainees after their vocational training.”
