The new EA TFT009-81AINN miniature LCD colour display from Electronic Assembly combines a full 80x160 pixels on a screen area of only about 1x3cm with a diagonal of 0.96 inches. The display available from Schukat thus provides pin-sharp graphic colour and black-and-white displays.
The large brightness reserves of the LED backlight with a luminance of up to 500 cd/m² enable best readability even under poor lighting conditions such as direct sunlight or glaring OR lighting.
Thanks to the wide viewing angle stability of the IPS panel with all-angle colour technology, contrasts and colours are maintained even at very oblique viewing angles. The miniature display from Electronic Assembly can be used in both portrait and landscape format and is particularly suitable for applications in which connection pins are to be saved. This is because the SPI interface of the integrated graphics controller ST7735S gets by with only three or four lines. A version (EA TFT009-81AITC) with a capacitive touch surface and I²C interface will also be released soon, which will make it much easier to read out the touched coordinates directly and enable them to be used as an informative switching element.
Thanks to its small dimensions, the new EA TFT009-81AINN colour display from Electronic Assembly is used primarily as a display in wearables, measuring probes, cordless drills and handheld electrical devices. It operates with a supply voltage of 3.3V in a temperature range between -20 and +70° Celsius and is available immediately from Schukat's warehouse.
