MEAN WELL’s NCP-3200 series – a new generation of 19-inch rack-mountable power supplies and battery chargers – is now in stock at Schukat. The series NCP-3200 is available in with three different output voltages, including SELV-compliant 24VDC/48VDC types for low voltage applications and the 380VDC variant for high voltages. The power supplies have been designed for installation in dual use units and feature a 1 HU low-profile design (325.8 x 107 x 41mm) and high power density. They offer a high degree of design flexibility and built-in PM bus or CAN bus protocol – users can choose one of the two international industrial communication protocols to control the power supply. Active parallel connection of up to 10 rack chassis (DHP-1UT-BHV), each with a maximum of 40 power supplies, can supply up to 128kW of power if needed. The units are protected against short circuit, overload, overvoltage, and overtemperature.
The NCP-3200 series offers a wide-range universal AC input. Operating the units in power supply or charging mode can be selected via PM bus, CAN bus or SBP-001, while the built in OR-ing FET or diode supports hot swapping (hot plugging). Additional features include programmable output voltage and output current, an integrated interface, and intelligent fan speed control that enables low-noise operation. The units in the series are designed for operation in ambient temperatures from -30 to +70°C. They offer high efficiency of up 94.5%, rated power of 3200W, and output voltages of 24VDC, 48VDC, or 380VDC.
MEAN WELL NCP-3200 power supplies and battery chargers are suitable for a range of light/heavy industrial machinery and equipment, automation and mobile applications, 5G equipment, all types of communications base stations, charging towers and large-scale charging stations, data centres, energy storage systems, and more. The 380VDC output variant is designed as a power supply for centralised supply of high voltage, and can be employed, for example, in horticultural lighting systems, in the semiconductor industry, for energy storage devices, and in many other applications.
