Among Schukat newest additions is MEAN WELL’s DLC-02 series, designed to integrate all lighting systems and their control systems in buildings and smart homes into a single building-automation solution. The series comprises the DLC-02 DALI-2 controller, for operating a digital DALI lighting system, and the DLC-02-KN KNX-DALI gateway, both of which can be adapted to suit the scope of the respective application area. They consist of an isolated plastic enclosure with protection class II and are designed for DIN Rail mounting. The MEAN WELL series is compliant with the latest DALI-2 specifications and offers two DALI-bus outputs as well as a built-in DALI power supply delivering up to 250mA. Each channel can be connected to a maximum of 64 luminaires and 12 input devices or sensors. In addition, the DLC-02 series contains the latest control function for DALI-2 relays and a programmable timer for automatically switching luminaires on and off or for setting up lighting scenes and group controls. The DLC-02 series can be combined with all DALI-capable luminaires and the DLC-02-KN with all KNX-certified products. With the standard DALI-2 functionality, the series delivers simple operation, open protocols, and complete interoperability. With DLC software, system settings can also be set remotely via the Internet, while the RJ45 interface and LCD display allow functions to be checked and adjusted easily. The series meets the IEC62386-101/103/ 207/ 208/ 301/ 302/ 303/304 DALI specifications and is compliant with the relevant European safety and EMC standards.
