With the DC/AC converters in MEAN WELL’s NTS-1700/NTU-1700 series, Schukat is adding external portable inverters delivering 1700W to its range. The new series replace the older TS-1500 generation and include significant improvements: higher power density, size reduction of 37%, and rated power 200W higher than the older series. With their AC bypass function, the NTU series converters enable direct supply of AC mains power without burdening the connected battery. The DC/AC converters deliver peak power of up to 3400W and feature flexible output and operating-mode adjustment, remote on/off control, and intelligent protection circuits for automatic shutdown. New digital smart chips and rigorously selected construction materials are used throughout – the series thus offers excellent reliability and industrial-grade safety, as well as environmentally friendly design at a competitive price. Operating temperature is from -25 to +70°C.
The DC/AC converters are used in the home, for automobile and marine applications, in remote areas with no AC mains or mobile AC power supply, in security and UPS applications, and for lighting, electric fans, and medical equipment trolleys. Effective immediately, MEAN WELL’s new NTS-1700 and NTU-1700 series can be ordered from Schukat with a type F standard EU socket.
