Schukat is once again expanding its range with the addition of compact 0.9'' IPS TFT displays with adapter board for the Raspberry Pi Pico from manufacturer Display Vision. Despite their small diagonal, the colour displays offer resolution of 180 x 60 pixels. The AACS (All Angle Colour Display) gives the screen a wide viewing angle, while the integrated in-plane switching (IPS) technology delivers a high-contrast image. Small, low-cost, and power saving, with power consumption of just 80mW, the displays have an adapter board for Raspberry Pi Pico and target applications in the IoT field. They have an operating range from -20°C to +70°C. Currently available are the 0.9'' EA RaPicoTFT009 display, with a luminance of 500 cd/m2, and the EA RaPicoTFT009TC model, with capacitive touch and a luminance of 400 cd/m2, which can display both text and images.
Both are designed as ‘shields’ to be plugged directly onto the Raspberry Pi. Included software libraries in C offer a variety of functions, including different fonts, displaying images, and clearing or filling areas of the screen. Detailed documentation is also available for the capacitive touch panel (PCAP) version. The units are delivered completely pre-assembled, simplifying the display of measured values and parameters.
