Schukat is expanding its portfolio with two new quarter-brick product series from MEAN WELL: RQB40W12 (40W; 12:1 [14-160Vdc] input) and RQB150W3 (150W; 3:1 [66-160Vdc] input). Both series meet the requirements of the EN50155 railway standard. The DC/DC converters come in an ultra-slim enclosure measuring just 57.9ｘ36.8ｘ12.7mm (LxBxH) and stand out with high insulation voltage of up to 3kV AC and high-efficiency.
Additional features include an extremely wide input voltage range that covers the voltages usually encountered in railway applications worldwide (24, 36, 48, 72, 96 and 110Vdc) and a wide operating temperature range from -40 to +90°C. The converters are compatible with external capacitors to support 10-30ms hold up times, and include an ON/OFF remote control and trimmable outputs. The converters’ internal gel encapsulation provides improved resistance to vibration, dust and moisture. Protections include short-circuit, overload, overtemperature, overvoltage, and undervoltage shutdown.
Typical application areas include public transport systems (rail, tram, bus), telecommunications/data transmission systems, wireless networks, industrial control equipment, communications systems, DC UPS systems, and analytical equipment.
All of the DC/DC converters in MEAN WELL’s RQB40W12 and RQB150W3 series have a three-year warranty. They are now in stock at Schukat.
