Schukat has added MEAN WELL’s SHP-10K series of digital power supplies to its product range. These power supplies are designed for high power, high output voltage (55V, 115V, 230V, and 380V) industrial applications, such as charging energy storage systems, UV LEDs, laser processing machines, energy/power for automatic industrial equipment, centralised DC bus systems, electrolysis systems, and more.
Thanks to their fully digital circuit topology, they offer efficiency of up to 97%. The power supplies operate across a broad three-phase AC input range (three-phase, three-wire, 340VAC to 530VAC), with no neutral conductor required. This allows up to four devices to be connected in parallel to deliver total output power of up to 40kW. Operating temperature range is between -30°C and +50°C under full load, while two cooling methods – water cooling or with built-in fan – are also available, each enabling use at ambient temperatures up to +70°C.
A CANBus interface is integrated as standard, allowing control of output current and voltage. Built in monitoring signals also cover such parameters as over-temperature, DC-OK, fan failure, and AC failure. The SHP-10K power supplies from MEAN WELL are also optionally available with PMBus or MODBus, while various built-in features such as remote ON/OFF, active current sharing (parallel), programmable outputs, auxiliary power output, and communication protocols simplify implementation in the end application. The power supplies come with a five-year manufacturer’s warranty.
