Now available at Schukat are the industrial AC/DC power supplies in MEAN WELL’s HEP-2300 series, with output power of 2300W. These power supplies are built for use in harsh environments (-40°C to +70°C), and feature IP67 waterproof, dustproof protection, 10G vibration resistance, and a fan-free design. They come in an aluminium case and are fully potted in a heat-dissipating compound. With 95.5% efficiency, the units are suitable for use in many industrial and telecommunications applications in extremely dusty environments as well as for equipment used both indoors and outdoors.
The series offers four output voltages: 55V, 115V, 230V, and 380V. The higher voltages allow for such applications as battery chargers, electrolysis, laser cutting, and UV curing. Depending the model, the output voltage can be set three different ways: with the built-in potentiometer, with the analogue programmable (PV/PC) function, or with digital interfaces like CANBus/PMBus/MODbus. Output current is programmable, and 12V/0.5A auxiliary power is also on hand. With their built-in charger function (adjustable via CANBus or with an SBP-001 interface), the HEP-2300 power supplies can also be used to charge lead-acid and lithium batteries.
Three wiring methods provide greater flexibility, including a conventional terminal strip, an IP67 version with open connection cables, and a variant with a waterproof connector. The units have been specifically designed with 5G applications in mind, with comprehensive protective functions rounding out the performance characteristics. The power supplies meet the requirements of the IEC62368-1, IEC60335, and IEC61558 standards, and comply with OVC III insulation testing. All units in the series have a six-year manufacturer’s warranty.
