New to our product portfolio are the IEC combination power connectors in Schurter’s DG11 and DG12 series. In addition to the TA35 circuit breaker, the DG12 version integrates a line filter in both standard and medical configurations. Both the DG11 and DG12 also offer the extra protection afforded by an IEC 60529-compliant IP67 version as well as the standard IP40 models.
The mounting options of these compact mains input modules means a suitable solution is available for every application, with the different models offering snap-in front-panel mounting or screw mounting for the front or rear panel, with the frame screwed either at top and bottom or left and right. The IP67-protected version has a seal between the flange and plate and is attached with sealed screws from the front. The circuit breaker offers a factory-installed protective cover. At the rear, both series have 6.3x0.8mm quick-connect terminals.
Schurter’s TA35 circuit breaker (2-pole) is available for rated currents from 0.5 to 15A and offers the function of a two-pole ON/OFF switch with one or two-pole overcurrent protection. The plug and circuit breaker are pre-wired in the DG11, while all individual elements in the DG12 are already wired. For both models, the circuit breaker is available in both illuminated and unilluminated versions, in a range of colours, and with other rocker markings on request. The rocker switch is recessed to prevent accidental actuation. The standard DG12 IEC-Plug Switch from Schurter has a line filter with low leakage-current losses and offers both standard and higher inductance versions. To protect against unintentional disconnection, both series are equipped with the V–lock cable retention system. These IEC power connectors are now in stock at Schukat stock, along with corresponding C13 connecting cables in a range of lengths and with moulded plugs for the EU, USA, China, Australia and Japan.
The IEC combination power connectors in Schurter’s DG11 series are suitable for use in devices in accordance with IEC 60950 – for industrial applications, motorised drive units, and equipment exposed to dust or water.
The DG12 series is compliant with IEC 60601-1 and is suitable for use in medical devices (including sterile equipment and laboratory gear), commercial kitchen appliances, and power tools.
